CLASS ATTENDANCE: Attendance at CCD classes is mandatory. When a student reaches THREE (3) absences, Father Richard will decide if he/she will not be allowed to be confirmed this spring. It is the parents’ responsibility to insure that the student attends class. Work is NOT an acceptable excuse for missing class. Classes are held outside of school hours so that the classes do not interfere with school. Therefore school has no right to interfere with classes -- some special exceptions may be allowed.
MASS ATTENDANCE: Attendance at Sunday Mass at St. Camillus or St. Virgilius is mandatory. Attendance is taken. If a pattern of not attending Mass is evident, the student will not be allowed to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation this spring. Approved adaptations and derivatives of a saint’s name are acceptable. Any name that is contrary to the Christian faith or any name that does not have an obvious or direct connection to the Christian faith may not be used as a Confirmation name.
